Supermarket Linear High Bay Lighting Project
Supermarket linear high bay lighting was selected for this large retail facility to provide uniform illumination across more than 10,000 m² of sales and display areas. With a ceiling height exceeding 10 meters, the project required an efficient lighting solution capable of delivering consistent light between shelves while supporting long daily operating hours.

Supermarket Lighting Requirements
Lighting in a large supermarket must support customer comfort, merchandise visibility and safe movement throughout the store. Uneven illumination can create dark areas between shelves, while unsuitable beam patterns may direct excessive light onto the tops of racks instead of the shopping aisles.
The lighting solution therefore needed to provide:

HBL-03-TA Linear LED High Bay Solution
The HBL-03-TA linear LED high bay light delivers luminous efficacy of up to 130 lm/W, helping the supermarket maintain sufficient illumination while reducing energy consumption compared with conventional high bay fixtures.
A 60° × 100° optical lens distributes light along the aisles and across the spaces between shelves. In this project, the optical design supports aisles approximately 3 meters wide and helps reduce dark areas between adjacent shelving rows.
The linear housing also follows the layout of supermarket aisles more effectively than a conventional circular high bay fixture, directing useful light toward the merchandise and walking areas.
Uniform Retail Aisle Illumination
Uniform lighting improves the appearance of the retail environment and helps customers view products comfortably. The selected beam distribution creates balanced illumination across the floor, shelving and display areas without relying on excessive fixture quantities.
Careful fixture positioning also reduces strong brightness differences between neighboring aisles. This produces a more consistent visual environment throughout the supermarket.
Clear Merchandise Color and Visibility
The HBL-03-TA fixtures used for this supermarket lighting project provide a color rendering index above CRI 80. This helps display product colors more naturally and improves the visibility of packaging, labels and promotional displays.

Energy-Efficient Lighting for Long Operating Hours
